Cairo & The Nile
Our 9-Day Tour, including a 5-Day Nile Cruise, shows you all of Egypt’s greatest cultural monuments in luxury fit for a pharaoh.

DAY 1: WELCOME TO CAIRO!
Saturday Our staff meets you at the airport and escorts you to your hotel, after which you’ll have some time to plunge into fascinating Cairo.

DAY 2: CAIRO
Sunday (BL) Our full-day tour of the great metropolis includes the most spellbinding sights: the Pyramids at Giza, the mighty Sphinx, the ancient capital of Memphis and the necropolis at Sakkara.

DAY 3: CAIRO
Monday (BL) We visit the Egyptian Museum, the Citadel of Saladin and the Alabaster Mosque. After lunch at El Khan, we continue our explorations with a tour through medieval Khan el-Khalili, the bazaar district, to admire the ancient streets, houses and mosques.

DAY 4: ABU SIMBEL & ASWAN
Tuesday (BLD) Early morning flight to Abu Simbel, to visit the Temples of Ramses II and Nefertari. Return to Aswan, where you will be escorted to your deluxe Nabila Nile cruise vessel. After lunch, enjoy a sail on a traditional felucca on the Nile.

DAY 5: ASWAN & KOM OMBO
Wednesday (BLD) First we tour the awesome Aswan dams, and next an ancient granite quarry complete with an unfinished obelisk. Then we go by motor launch to the island temples of Philae. Re-embarking on our Nile cruiser, we sail downstream to Kom Ombo to visit its twin temples.

DAY 6: EDFU & ESNA
Thursday (BLD) We dock in Edfu, climb aboard horse-drawn carriages, and clip-clop through the town to the Temple of Horus, Egypt’s best-preserved. Re-embarking, we cruise to Esna and cross the lock. Tonight we arrive in Luxor.

DAY 7: LUXOR
Friday (BLD) Crossing the Nile, we tour the magnificent tombs in the Valley of the Kings and Valley of the Queens, including the great funerary temple of Queen Hatshepsut. After lunch, visit the Temples of Karnak and Luxor.

DAY 8: CAIRO
Saturday (B) Disembark from the cruise and fly back to Cairo.

DAY 9: DEPARTURE
Sunday (B) After breakfast, our staff escorts you to the airport for your homeward flight.
